"Fun and challenging, Lorenzo's workshop helped me to build up the confidence that I needed to approach lighting for any given scene/location. Most importantly, it was practical, which I usually find is the best way to learn such aspects of filmmaking!" - Anton, Filmmaker

"I found the workshop very useful as it was mainly practical, so we put what we talked about into practice. Lorenzo and Tom had a wealth of experience and both were happy to give answers to any questions anyone had during the day".  - Jules Rampton, Filmmaker

"Lorenzo is a very flexible teacher who moulds the lesson to the specific needs and interests of the group. I did not expect a one day course to make me more confident in my work, but it definitely did. As a helpful process, we were given situations we might encounter when lighting a film set, and after a time limit (20 mins) to create the desired effect, he showed us the way he would have solved it. This was, of course, followed by a lot of "aha" moments, which helped us to dissolve big misconceptions and boundaries regarding lighting." - Maya, Photographer

"This workshop is invaluable to gain insight and hands-on experience into the realms of a DP's mind on set. Lorenzo and Tom have designed the course in such a way that you have access to theory, tools and guidance throughout the day as you participate in scenarios that would often occur on a real life set. Level 2 was awesome; we were given a script from Director Bruno Chiecco who was also in attendance. We discussed the story elements of the script, went on a recce, planned our lighting set up and shot the scene for real with two actors. I struggle to think of any other workshops that includes all these elements. Lorenzo and Bruno really hit home the relationship between Director and DP something that is not always translated in books and other workshops. Attend this and you really won't regret it, I'm looking forward to anything Lorenzo designs in the future." - Scott Jones, Junior Camera Operator

"Having had to time to digest the course on Saturday, I’d like to say that I thought it was brilliant. I definitely learnt stuff and have come away feeling inspired. It’s incredible that we managed to get so much done. The whole process was great, really informative and fun too. Thanks for making it happen!" - Oli Cohen, Director of Photography

"I came to the Level 2 London Film Lighting Workshop having plateaued and stalled a little in my development, and needing an injection of fresh ideas to kick start my continued progression. This is exactly what I received from Lorenzo and Tom. We were challenged and encouraged in equal measure, first theoretically and then in practice through the lighting exercise, which was made to be as close to 'real world' as possible. We got hands on with great kit, old and new, and were given room to make mistakes and learn from them. We weren't taught 'how-to-light' but instead were asked to think about the questions we should bear in mind when we begin each lighting setup. I'd thoroughly recommend this course to anyone looking to refresh their attitude to lighting." - Neal Parsons, Camera Operator

"Really useful, lots of great expert advice" - Simon, Production Company Director
